The Tree of Life basket has been inspired by ancient Celtic Mythology and the importance of nature in early Irish life.
The Ancient Celts depended on the trees for their day-to-day existence as the provided a means of shelter, food, heat and even housed wildlife that was once hunted in Ireland.
The Celts believed there was a connection between nature and the life beyond, the tree represented a connection between earth and the afterlife, mind and body and the never-ending cycle of life. It is thought they believed that trees held the spirits of their ancestors. The Oak was seen as a towering symbol of nobility, strength, endurance, longevity and wisdom.
The Annual Basket comes with a special back stamp and a Certificate of Authenticity.
