Elizabeth Welch Glass. Pair of Black Swans, Philip and Elizabeth. The Royal Swans are a flock of swans of two species—the mute swan (Cygnus olor) and the black swan (Cygnus atratus)—the original six pairs of which were a gift to the city of Ottawa from Queen Elizabeth II in 1967. Like other swans, the black swan is largely monogamous, pairing for life.
Philip 8cm tall and approximately 10cm long 4cm wide. Elizabeth 7cm tall 9.5cm long, 4cm wide.
